The adventurers delved deeper into the caverns of Kenebras. All was going well until Garak Frothbeard heard the sound of fellow dwarves in a dark passage. Mirabella, being the one most-capable and unencumbered at the time, made her way down the passage while her allies continued to ferry the injured across another chasm.
Eventually, she came across a solitary dwarf standing in front of a stained shrine to Desna. He appeared to be arguing to himself, and after she realized that he not only wouldn’t talk to her in a language she could understand but that he was also evil, she attempted to return to her party.
A creature then flung itself from the roof of the cavern, snuffing the light she had and attached itself firmly to her face. Hearing her screams, her companions rushed to her rescue. Most were rendered ineffective in the supernatural darkness, but Garak, armor hoisted over his shoulder charged into the fray with Ithildian convincing the crazed dwarf to assist in the destruction of the flying creatures.
Now the imminent threats have been dealt with, our heroes are faced with the task of trying to redeem the shrine and possibly the sanity of their new… acquaintance.
